The Eaton County United Way (ECUW) appointed two new members to its board of directors during a special July meeting.  The new members are Connie Sweet of Potterville and D’Lynn Smith of Charlotte.

Connie Sweet is owner of Connection Graphics in Potterville.  She served as a board member for Alliance of Women in Business from 2006 through 2008 and from 1998 to 2004 as a board member and marketing chair for the Lansing Micro Enterprise Fund, now the Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan. “Connie’s communication skills and expertise in graphic design and brand marketing will help our organization excel,” said Bob Robinson, Interim Director for ECUW.

D’Lynn Smith has been with the Eaton Intermediate School District for four years. She is an Early Childhood teacher and will teach the Great Start Readiness class for four-year-olds in Potterville.  She has worked with the Early On program assessing children’s development.

“I value and appreciate the Eaton County United Way’s dedication to children and education and am proud that I can be a part of that allegiance to providing opportunities to the children of Eaton County.”
